Flow Switching

Change cadences across verses to keep listeners locked in the whole song.

Why switch

A single flow gets predictable after 16 bars. Switching cadence between verses (or within one) re-engages the ear and signals a new emotional beat.

Where to switch

Common spots: the second half of verse 2, the bar before the hook, and the bridge. Mark these in your draft before writing.

How to switch

Change syllable density, change where you sit on the beat, or change rhyme cadence (end-only ↔ multi-internal). Pick one variable at a time.
